Skykomish White Water River Rafting

The Skykomish River is the most challenging white water river rafting trip within 3 hours of downtown Seattle. Orion River Rafting recommends participants have previous experience paddle rafting before tackling the rigorous white water between Index and Gold Bar, Washington. The rapids on the Skykomish River range from Class III to Class V, depending on the water level. The 10 mile white water challenge begins in the mountain town of Index and concludes outside the one-time mining community of Gold Bar. The Skykomish River combines mountainous waves and fast-moving currents with river channels choked with boulders. Participants are required to be 18 years and older.
